Important Notice

Meetle (KConnect Seattle) is an introduction-only platform for Korean singles. We do not perform identity verification or background checks on the identity, safety, intentions, marital status, or criminal history of any member. You alone are responsible for every meeting and its outcome.

1. First-Meeting Rules

  • Always meet for the first time in a busy public place (café, restaurant, etc.).
  • Tell a friend or family member your location, time, and the other person's details in advance.
  • Arrange your own transportation. Avoid being picked up or dropped off.
  • Do not share your exact home address, workplace, or license plate at a first meeting.
  • Order your own drinks and keep them with you if you step away.
  • If anything feels uncomfortable, leave immediately.

2. Romance Scam Warning Signs

The most common risk in online dating is financial fraud. Stop talking and report immediately if any of the following occurs:

  • Requests money, wire transfers, gift cards, or cryptocurrency — never send anything for any reason.
  • Pitches "high-return investments," "coin trading," or "stock tips."
  • Repeatedly invents excuses (overseas business, military deployment, medical bills) for why you can't meet.
  • Professes love or marriage unusually fast, or pushes to move chats to WhatsApp, Telegram, or KakaoTalk.
  • Demands nude photos or copies of your ID in exchange for theirs.
  • Only uses model-like photos or always refuses video calls.

3. Information You Should Never Share

  • Social Security Number (SSN), driver's license, or passport number
  • Bank accounts, card numbers, or PayPal/Venmo/Zelle passwords
  • Email or social media passwords, two-factor authentication codes
  • Home address, your children's school, or your exact workplace

4. Reporting and Blocking

Please report members in the situations below. Our team will review and take appropriate action (warning, suspension, or permanent ban).

  • Money, investment, or cryptocurrency solicitation; suspected fraud
  • Sexual content requests, explicit material, or anything involving minors
  • Insults, threats, harassment, or discriminatory speech
  • Fake profiles, photo theft, or impersonation
  • Hiding the fact that they are married or in a serious relationship
  • Offline violence, stalking, or coercive behavior

Report via the Report / Contact page or safety@kconnectseattle.com.

5. Emergencies

If you are in immediate danger, call 911 first. For sexual assault support, call the RAINN hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE. For domestic violence support, call 1-800-799-7233 (24/7, Korean interpretation available). Report financial fraud to reportfraud.ftc.gov and to the Washington State Attorney General's Office.
